Distribution Specialist (Ottawa, Ontario Headquarters)

Position Overview

Reporting to the VP, Distribution and Customer Care, the Distribution Specialist provides a broad spectrum of services to the company.

Responsibilities

DISO & VLA (Volume Licensing Agreement)

  • Process customer orders via a web-based order entry facility
  • Fulfill and ship orders using Canada Post EST (Electronic Shipping Tools)
  • Inventory and replenish stock, as required
  • Quarterly Media inventory - return all out dated Media
  • Liaise with partners or supplier (Adobe) to resolve order-related issues
  • Maintain DISO inbox
  • Maintain accurate sales records and generate sales reports to meet both internal and partner/supplier requirements
  • Process all returns (RMA's)
  • Prepare monthly DISO activity reports
  • Develop written procedures for tasks related to the position

General Administrative Duties

  • Reception duties- Answering phone, greeting visitors
  • Order and organize office supplies
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Monitor fax machine
  • Aid with courier needs

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, and to respond effectively and professionally to changes in schedules and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office and other software tools
  • Strong inter-personal skills with professional manner. Ability to create and maintain positive peer, customer and supplier relationships
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
