Loan sourcing
Using a rich Internet application (RIA) accessible online, customers can browse through different loan options and begin the application process. Loan processing
The application process can be initiated online using the RIA or offline using Adobe® Reader® software and PDF. Forms can be prepopulated with customer information and loan terms. Digital signatures allow for a more streamlined and secure electronic process. But if a wet signature is required, customers can fill out an electronic form, print it with an automatically generated 2D barcode that encapsulates the information they entered, sign it, and then submit it via mail or fax for processing. The lender can then scan the barcode, extracting all of the customer data on the form as XML, and send it to back-end systems for processing. Once all the necessary forms and documents are received, they can be assembled in a single, compact PDF file for easy distribution and review.
Loan closing
Once an application is approved, the customer can be immediately notified through e-mail. Concurrently, Adobe solutions can automatically generate a complete package of compliant loan documents — personalized per client — that can be sent by mail, e-mail, or fax or made available on the RIA. The documents can also be digitally archived, saving on storage and retrieval costs, as well as complying with regulatory mandates for records retention. If a hard copy is needed, the PDF file can be printed with the assurance that the paper and digital versions will maintain a consistent look and feel. Security controls confirm that the data hasn't been altered since it was filed.
